Academic Classical Art Program

Learn the techniques and processes of Academic Art

At Estilo Clásico, we bring to life the timeless techniques of 19th century academic art.
Our three-year training program immerses students in the world of drawing and painting, through the processes, techniques and materials of Classical Academic Art.
Our teachers are graduates in Fine Arts with projection and own work oriented in this discipline.
Classes in small groups and a personalized learning environment in which each artist can thrive. Join us in Madrid and relive the art of the past to create your own masterpieces!

Annual Training Program

Year 1 Drawing

Structural foundations

The first year is oriented to the construction of a solid base of academic drawing, essential for any later development in painting. The student works progressively on fit, proportion, volume and tone, starting with graphite and evolving towards charcoal and other dry techniques. The focus is on the analysis of form, drawing from life (plaster, still life, portrait and human figure) and anatomical understanding, establishing clear technical criteria and a rigorous working method.

Year 2 Painting

Implementation and Development

The second year focuses on the pictorial application of the knowledge acquired in drawing, working exclusively with oils. The program progresses from monochrome to the complete palette, addressing color theory, tonal values, mixtures and temperature. Still life, portrait, figure and landscape from life are worked on, combining academic exercises with more gestural approaches. The objective is to consolidate an own pictorial language, maintaining technical control and professional criteria.
